PLAY Expo Blackpool is just one week away! We are very excited to be bringing our longest running event back to Blackpool and we have lots of fantastic guests, vendors and video gaming features ready for you when you arrive. October 2019 seems like such a long time ago.

Even though we have made great strides in combatting the pandemic we want you to remain safe while we are enjoying the events we love so we wanted to talk to you about what changes we are making to allow this to happen.

Cleanliness
There will be increased cleaning schedules on all machines and hand sanitising stations are located around the venue.

Face Coverings
We strongly recommend that you continue to wear a face covering inside the venue, unless you are exempt.

One way system
In some areas of the event we will introduce a one-way system. This will be clearly marked with floor arrows.

Talks
The talks have been moved to a larger room to allow greater spacing between seats. The new location will be signposted throughout the hotel.

Aisles
We will have wider aisles and more spacing between features to allow better movement within the venue.

VR & Cosplay Masquerade
We will not be running any VR or the cosplay masquerade at the event this year as these were identified as being higher risk. They will return for future events.

We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time at the event and feel that these steps will help towards achieving this. We can’t wait to see you there.
